  • Thank you Justin, Nora, Kris, and Jake for contributing on this discussion. I am also pretty new with Google+ and still learning about its potential. I will try Google+ for my free online writing class this Fall. I will keep you with the update of what students think about it. The "Hang Out" on Google+ probably can become a place for having a synchronous online class session. Recently, many blogs and users talk about its potential for education. Here are some links to those discussions:

While school is one of the learning environment that we know for sure has been created to do that. For thousa

Hai Scott & Adam Thank you for sharing about Nook in this forum. I went to B&N several times and listen to their explanation about Nook. It was pretty cool. The Nook information center on B&N is also very helpful on explaining the devices. Your information in this discussion forum can add invaluable

  • I agree with you Scott. Engaging student to reading for pleasure and not as an obligation is a great proposition to discuss. And George, I must say that in my doctoral program right now 95% of the reading are online (ebrary, online journal article, and e-book). The 24/7 online library chat is really

  • Hai Scott,
Love to be in your group. While I am not a Second Language teacher, but my interest in technology can come across with this group purpose. Looking forward to have more discussion with you and other group members about how we can incorporate technology, such as text-to-speech, dictation apps, e-reading apps, online dictionary and etc to enhance language learning.

  • Hai Lewis, While I start loving to read with my Amazon Kindle, I still love to read the real book. What I cannot get from e-book is I cannot smell the book aroma. This is really strange, but I also love to have their is a physical library in the future. I love to walk and find a book on library. Mor

  • Let we just predict this based on our opinion. As I know, prediction is not always has to be happened. In my opinion, p-book will not be repalced by e-book. To use e-book, we need power, either electricity or battery. This power has to be recharged. When the power out, you will not be able to contin ...

Thanks for posting George and Julie. I have used Kindle since 2009. My Kindle is the 2nd generation that come with free 3G and international access. It's different from iPad, but I have to admit that it worked well when I carried it to Indonesia. What I like from Kindle is it allows me to have more
