I joined 21stcenturyteacher very recently mostly because I had a similar aim to you, however I most likely have less experience that someone like yourself must have.

My aim was to develop an idea I had for a software solution to help children realize the value of what they were learning and to see what they could do with the skills. For myself money, time, programming ability and the scale of the project are the limiting factors in turning my idea into a reality.

I had however intended to make the software freely available which might not work with it being a private school you want to start. Would you be against the idea of starting an open access online school with the same aim of helping children (and adults) see what their passion leads them towards or show them the way to achieve their goals?
