Hello, I found your discussion very interesting and informative, since I've been teaching for only less than a decade. I hope that you can help me with my queries.

Here is the model for Differentiation
It 'unpacks' the concept of differentiation by showing the key elements in the concept and relationships among those elements. -
Connections build trust and trust allows for learning. What is your plan to getting to know each of your students personally?

Invite your educator friends to join us in learning more about differentiated instruction.
We can make a difference in all students lives. It is most important to share our thinking and best practices here so we can lead the best classrooms for our students. It is a safe place where you can ask questions and we are here to help eachother by offering advice and sharing our experiences to lead you on the road to success. We can't do it alone so we welcome all educators, parents and college students to join in. We can do this together!!!
There are no announcements yet.
Hi all. I'm not a teacher myself, but I'm building an understanding of differentiated instruction- thanks for pointing out Rick Wormeli as one of the gurus. I have a multitude of questions I'd like to ask, but I'll start with these since you have all brought up interesting points:
Nicole,
Can you elaborate on what you're doing to work with students' interests in your instruction? Teachers from the project based learning camp place heavy focus on this area, and I'm curious to see how much it overlaps with the differentiated group.
Michelle,
What made it difficult to record and use your observation data? Can you tell us a little more for the benefit of uninitiated members like myself? Thanks!
I like them too. I like how they are less vague and how the expectations are a notch higher.
